Job description:
This position is responsible for standard engineering assignments which can be non-routine in nature and are typically a limited portion of a larger project.
Recommends appropriate designs, materials, and/or techniques to carry out a specified sequence of standard engineering tasks.
Receives specifications and design constraints from team leader.
Engineer may provide product support, manufacturing support and failure analysis.
Engineer may assist technical support teams in testing new applications and problem solving.
Specific job duties include: Design of Rotary bits and bearing systems
Performing failure analysis and determine course of action for improvements. Test new products at mine sights.
Ability to work as a team leader on major projects.
Some travel is required.
Experience requirements:
Two to Five years of experience
Knowledge:
Basic Analytical skills
Basic problem-solving skills
Knowledge of general principles, concepts, theories and practices of applicable discipline
CAD experience is a must, preferably Pro-E
Knowledge of PDM a plus
Educational requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred)
Personality requirements:
Ability to work in a team setting as well as individual
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
