Human Resources Manager (United States)

Job description:

This position is an active member of the local management team providing coaching, leadership and support to managers and employees regarding topics specific to Human Resources.
Provide leadership in employment practices: recruitment, hires, orientation, professional development, promotions, transfers, terminations and temporary agency utilization.
Ensure the recruitment of all employees and support managers in hiring the right people, ensuring new employee induction is maintained and effective and retention of top talent is maintained.
Ensure compensation structure is developed, maintained, and updated including, salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job evaluation.
Maintain Affirmative Action Plan

Manage performance review process and ensure training and competence development plans are in place
Manage all employee benefit and payroll programs and ensure coordination with Service Center is maintained
Act as employee liaison with regard to problems/issues and handle HR legal issues as required.
Develop company policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws
Manage expatriate program including legal and tax coordination
Ensure integrity, maintenance and confidentiality of all personnel records in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable Federal and State laws.
Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully establish and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
Mission:

The mission of the Human Resources Manager is to develop and apply human resources best practices in accordance with Group principles to support business needs and organizational development. Ensure the company attracts, retains, develops and motivates the work force to effectively meet the strategic business objectives.
Experience requirements:

Seven plus years of HR experience in manufacturing business environments in a generalist or management role.
Demonstrated ability to present, influence, negotiate and effectively coach managers and supervisors to use the company best practices for maximum effectiveness
Demonstrated experience, professional knowledge, and competence within all HR functions with special focus on performance management , people/organizational development, recruiting and conflict resolution.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of legal matters including conducting internal investigations, responding to Ethics Hotline and EEOC complaints, and making employment decisions that mitigate the Company’s legal risks.
Solid knowledge of all HR processes and employment law
Strong PC skills with MS Office and Lotus Notes
Fluency in English required
Educational requirements:

Bachelor degree in Human Resource related field.
PHR or SPHR certification a plus
Personality requirements:

Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
Experience building relationships with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to create trust and fair relations.
