Chief Accountant, Payroll Jakarta/Staff Jobsite/Contractor Basic Function : Review, direct and monitor Jobsite Staff Payroll, Jakarta Payroll, PT Mineserve Payroll, Contractor Proforma Invoice and Performance Bonus Award in accordance with PTFI policy and to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of monthly payroll activity, performance bonus award report and balance sheet reconciliation of all Payroll liability accounts on monthly basis.
Job Responsibility :
- Supervise the execution of Jobsite Staff & Jakarta Payroll and Contractor Payroll activities to ensure the smoothness of staff payroll operation.
- Review and recommend Jobsite Staff and Jakarta Payroll processing including Contractor Proforma Invoice so they are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Direct subordinates in monitoring all payroll transactions on daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure that manpower costs are properly booked and make any corrections accordingly and prevent any departures from PTFI financial policy.
- Review and develop Payroll pay components elements, to ensure the accuracy of usage; modify and create based on the request; ensure the accuracy of the set up element.
- Primary responsibility for compilation of PBA data for PTFI portion and operating areas, including sending out notification to PBA administrators of Grasberg, Concentrating division, TRMP and Underground in a timely manner.
- Compile, review and recommend PBA results (both PTFI and departments portions) and develop bonus parameter for management review and approval.
- Review and recommend the accuracy of PBA downloading for Staff and Non-Staff, to ensure the payments for Nationals are done correctly and in a timely manner.
- Direct subordinates in reviewing the accuracy of payment components allocation and the amount paid; ensure no adjustment/corrections will be made due to Payroll fault.
- Review and develop the accuracy of tax treatment of final
payment components; ensure no adjustment will be made dure to Payroll fault. - Review and develop the Reconciliation of Payroll Liability Accounts by 5th working days to monitor the accuracy of payroll entries and determine the necessity for true up/down.
- Review and develop the Performance Bonus (PBA) Summary Report sorted by depertment, Overall Analysis of Estimated
US$ Cash Flow Impact by 14th for management review to give insight on the impact of PBA payment on PTFI current cash flow. - Develop the PBA Percentage Trend and PBA Trend reports by 14th for management review to give insight on the PTFI's and Operating departments' YTD performance, whether target revisal is needed.
- Develop manpower cost report related to the Payroll Major component element, the reconcile between payroll data and Trial Balanca in monthly basis.
- Direct subordinates on producing the yearly report such as Income Tax return, Jamsostek DUMTK for Jobsite Staff Payroll and Jakarta Payroll are properly done on timely manner.
- Coordinate and work with MIS to find solutions on all system issues related to National Staff Payroll for Jobsite and Jakarta including Contractror Payroll and PBA processing.
- Review and develop the mark to market adjustment for the Unit Pemegang Saham (UPS) for National Staff and Non-Staff, to ensure the adjustment entries are properly calculated and in a timely manner.
- Work with HRD on National Staff compensation and Benefit issues to find solutions in timely fashion.
The key challenges in this position include:
- Meet deadline, system failure and limitation and inter-dependants.
- Develop the reconciliation report of all payments data that created by payroll group againts the general ledger.
- Review the WEB Payroll Application can handle PTFI Jobsite Staff Payroll and Jakarta Payroll processing by properly in accordance with management policy and ntax law.
- Communicate with high level to provide the financial information and analysis effectively supports management decision making.
- Perform and assist in special management projects (i.e. Performance Bonus Award evaluation, Compensation and Benefit program, etc.) as requested by Senior Management.
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are: Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting with 5 - 7 years experience in an accounting or financial environmental and preferably
with in Payroll.

The key areas in which you have decision-making responsibility are: ° Recommend all Jobsite Staff Payroll and Jakarta Payroll payments were made correctly and on timely manner to avoid a potential labor problem.
- Reconcile all of Payroll Liability accounts code to review the accuracy of payroll entries and determine the necessity
for true up/down. - Provide the Trend Performance Bonus Award report on monthly basis for Management review to give insight on the performance YTD of PTFI (overall).
- Reconcile all Staff pay components sorted by expense element between Payroll History and Trial Balance to review the accuracy payroll uses the pay component and element.
- Reconcile Monthly Staff Gross Income (Pay History) againts the Income Tax summary report to review the accuracy of tax calculation and recordation to the general ledger.
