Librarian-Documentalist-Archivist Specialised in English Language and Literature

Duties
The post-holder will be responsible to the Head Librarian and the Coordinator of specialised services. His/her principal objective will be to act as a liaison person between academic staff and the library. In this capacity, he/she will hold a privileged position as regards specific teaching or research requirements of the English Department in the field of English language and literature, in terms of making available resources and services relevant to these disciplines.

His/her duties will consist of ensuring the development and scientific management of the cataloguing system pertaining to these fields, and building up a collection in collaboration with staff, as well as developing information-communication methods. Front office and Back office reference duties will consist, among other things, in allowing access to collections and reference information, working accurately and as part of a team and dealing with requests efficiently and rapidly.

Conditions
Applicants need to have a degree in Library Studies/information management. A Certificate of Advanced Studies or Diploma of Advanced Studies, or similar qualification, would be an added advantage. Several years' experience may be deemed sufficient in the absence of the afore-mentioned diplomas. 

Job Description
Overall Skills Required: This post requires a very good capacity for analysis, fluent written and spoken English and French, excellent IT and keyboard skills, as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Respect for the standards and procedures already in place and a marked interest for the branch of English language and literature are also required.

Salary : £48,149 p.a. at the current conversion rate (CHF 68,006 p.a.)
