Offshore Project Engineer – We have an exciting new opportunity for an Offshore Project Engineer based in Glasgow with one of the leading offshore wind Developers in Europe. Due to ongoing projects and continuous growth our client now requires a Project Engineer with ideally a strong subsea background.
Responsibilities:
• Understand, promote and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and policies in undertaking all activities and ensure safe design of offshore wind farms.
• To adhere to the company values of Mainstream at all times and represent the company in a professional and respectful manner.
• Management of all engineering and technical aspects of the project.
• Appointment and management of Engineering/ Marine sub contractors, offshore surveyors and consultants.
• Assisting with management of environmental contractors and consultants.
• Assisting with management, design, specification and procurement of offshore grid connections.
• Preparation, management and reporting of project budgets.
• Assist with the management of project program and risk register.
• Assist with external stakeholder liaison.
• Actively contribute to the Company’s Health and Safety culture.
• Contribute to the management of the company’s wider offshore engineering projects.
• Inform colleagues about relevant legislation, guidance and associated implications in relation to engineering issues affecting offshore development interests.
• Deputise for Offshore Manager as and when required.
Ideally the successful candidate should degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with an understanding of electrical systems.
