Period of 6 months with a possible extension of 3 months.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. Additionally through a variety of activities, it influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospitals and in the community.
An Administrative Assistant (maternity cover) in the Quality and Standards Team is required to assist with a range of duties including financial administration; diary and meetings management; events planning and execution; website maintenance and e-portfolio updating. Previous experience of working in an administrative/clerical role is essential along with demonstrable experience of teamwork. Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills, enthusiasm and flexibility are also required. Previous experience of working within an educational or membership environment would be advantageous. Selection will involve a competency-based interview and a short written test.
